SCARTS Emerging Artists Grants

Emerging Artist Grants from the
South Carolina Arts Association

From the South Carolina Arts Association...

These grants support South Carolina artists in the first 1-5 years of their careers, offering both project funding and mentorship to help deepen artistic practice and foster long-term growth. Eligible artists may receive up to $1,800 per grant, with no matching requirement. Applications are accepted in fall (for Jan-June projects)
and spring (for July-Dec projects).

WANTED:
ART INSTRUCTORS

Kids Upstate is seeking a part-time art instructor
to teach in its school-based after-school
Kids Clubs in Spartanburg County.

Applicants should be:

• experienced artists and/or art educators who love working with children

• capable of teaching 1st – 5th graders a variety of art media including drawing, painting, printmaking, collage and photography

• available to work from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at least 3-4 afternoons per week Mon. – Fri.

• energetic, fun, patient, and flexible

• have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel to the
above-mentioned locations

• Bachelor’s degree in fine art or art education and experience working with Elementary school-aged children preferred

Compensation depends on experience and qualifications. Interested and qualified applicants may email a resume and 4-5 samples of their art and/ or student art to nikki@kidsupstate.org

Our pop up art market, open to any local artists and makers, will be happening during FUTURE Art Walks in the Zimmerli Plaza at Chapman Cultural Center.

Paint-outs feature our member artists coming

together to paint plein air at

specific locations and are usually followed by a show and tell.
