It's time for one of our favorite shows of the year - the annual Juried Art exhibit!

 

Open to all Juried Level members of the Artists' Guild of Spartanburg.

This year's exhibit will run April 3rd - 28th, with awards and artists' reception during

Art Walk, Thursday April 16th from 5-8pm.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Artists’ Guild of Spartanburg

Juried "All-In-One", Teacher or College Art Student Level Artists to Apply!
All Artists must be Juried Level Members in good standing, or join as a New member before applying for Artists' Guild juried shows or your application will not be accepted - Thank You!

Entry Guidelines 

  • Artists must identify entries as either 2-D or 3-D.

 

  • Only two (2) pieces of original art may be entered.

 

  • Artists must submit only ONE image (each) for 2-D entries but may submit TWO or more images for 3-D entries.

 

  • Artists must designate the medium/media of each piece.

 

  • 2D Art must be 36"x36" or less and weigh less than 60 lbs.

  • 3D Art must be 36"x36" (floorspace) or less (If a podium is required for your 3D art, you must provide your own podium.

 

  • 3D artists submitting small works must provide their own pedestals. Items like jewelry or knives must also provide an enclosed locking case for display.

  • All works to be hung must be securely wired and framed. No plastic frames, wired according to size and weight, acrylic should be free of scratches if used instead of glass.

 

  • Stretched canvas without a frame should be a gallery-wrapped canvas 1.5 inches in depth or deeper with professional, clean edges. Any canvas less than 1.5 inches should be framed. **Any work not meeting the requirements will be returned until requirements are met**

 

  • All art must be for sale. A 30% commission will be charged, with the artist remaining 70% from a sale. NOTE that all art sales transactions are made through the Artists' Guild only.

 

  • Only digital entries will be considered. No hand-delivered or mailed entries are accepted.

Liability

  • The Artists’ Guild will use the utmost care and respect in handling the artwork; however, it is the artist’s responsibility to have the art insured during the show as well as while it is being transported to and from the exhibition. The Artists' Guild is not held responsible for any damages that may occur.

  • The Artists’ Guild does not assume liability for damages resulting from broken glass or improperly prepared work, or loss or damages incurred up to the point of acceptance or after pick-up.

  • For publicity purposes, the Artists’ Guild reserves the right to photograph and reproduce any entry.

  • Receipt of an entry into the juried exhibition constitutes an agreement by the artist with all conditions outlined in this prospectus.

  • Sponsors and affiliates are not responsible for any incorrect information, whether caused by any equipment or programming associated or used in the juried exhibition or by any human or technical error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the juried exhibition, including, but not limited to, misprints or typographical errors.

Important Dates

Important Dates To Remember - 2026

  • Entries accepted until Wednesday, March 25th, 11:59pm.

  • Chosen Artists will be informed on March 28th.

  • ALL ENTRIES MUST HAVE LABEL on BACK with Artist Name, Title and Price.

  • Art drop-off will be March 30th and 31st, 10am-5pm. Artists' Guild of Spartanburg, 200 E Saint John St., Spartanburg, SC 29306

    • If selected artwork drop-off or pick-up times don't work please contact Danielle Woodson at dwoodson@spartanarts.org  for special arrangements.

  • The show will hang from April 3rd until April 28th.

  • An Artist Reception will be held and winners will be announced on April 16th between 5-8pm.

  • Art Pick up April 29th to May 1st,  10am-5pm.
